About Us

Herb Herbert Pty Ltd was incorporated in 1994. The company offers leading and innovative concepts, for marketing and producing herb related products, particularly for the plant retail industry via trademark licensed agreements with plant growers.
The company principals, Neil and Zelma Wyatt, have been wholesale herb growers for 32 years. The Herb Herbert program was developed from this experience, as well as the recognition of the needs that arose from studying global issues and trends, through travelling to many countries 10 years prior to Herb Herberts inception.
Future success and growth of Herb Herbert will depend on strategies that maintain a marketing advantage for retailers, while at the same time, providing a product that inspires consumers with the added benefits of a lifestyle in a healthy environment.
Herb Herbert's primary strategies are; consistency in achieving premium quality; reliability; durability and high reputation of the product.
These objectives are a challenge for us to aspire to with total commitment.
Key Personnel
ZELMA WYATT - Managing Director
Joint founder of Herb Herbert Pty Ltd, Zelma is responsible for technical planning and management of the company, along with coordinating product development, communication and liaison with licensed growers globally.
A qualified horticulturalist, Zelma has been involved in the nursery industry for 32 years, having owned both a retail garden centre and with partner Neil Wyatt, a large production nursery, Plants Naturally, specialising in herbs and perennials. During this time Zelma has also travelled extensively throughout the world, examining horticultural practice and marketing, as well as promoting the Herb Herbert program.
Zelma is committed to fostering industry development. She has served 4 years as an Executive board member for the Nursery & Garden Industry Association of Victoria, as well as being involved in several committees with the Victorian College of Agriculture & Horticulture Industry Training Board, the Australian Vocational Standards Nursery Project Steering Committee, and the Rural Training Council. Zelma is currently undertaking an MBA at Deakin University.
NEIL WYATT - Marketing Director
Neil is responsible for the creation and management of marketing strategies for Herb Herbert, including the development of branding and logo concepts and promotional material, along with corporate and business planning.
Following a diverse career including studying and performing music for ten years, as well as completing a degree in graphic design and a certificate in Gravure printing, Neil, with partner Zelma, established Plants Naturally Nursery in 1982.
Recognising the importance of using integrated marketing strategies in business, Neil has used the nursery as a test bed to research and develop concepts leading to the formulation of the Herb Herbert program. Experience gained through extensive travel, along with an ability to translate consumer demands into branded concepts now sees Neil at the creative helm of an Australian company with a world-wide focus.
ANITA HURST - Office Manager
Graduating from Swinburne University in 1978 with a Diploma in Business Studies (majoring in Secretarial Studies), Anita has held various positions in office administration and accounting industry. She held a Senior Office Manager’s position with Coats Patons (Australia) Ltd.
After a career break, Anita uses all her administrative skills and experience with Herb Herbert. She handles order processing, freight and delivery, invoicing and day-to-day communication with Herb Herbert growers. Her immaculate and precise work ethics make her a very important member of the Herb Herbert team.
MILTON LUND - Bookeeper
Milton has worked for Neil and Zelma for 15 years.
